Sunday Worship Services at Sydenham Street United Church

Scripture, music, song and reflection are part of our worship each Sunday and Worship is an important expression of our experience as a community of faith.

Led by our minister, supported by lay members and invited guests, we gather to give thanks and seek spiritual development, informed by scripture and progressive theology.  Inspired by the presence of God, the Creator and Holy One, we seek to live faithfully, give generously, and seek justice for all.

Music is an integral component of our worship, led by our music director and organist and a dedicated choir of approximately 15 voices. Our appreciation of music extends from the traditional to the contemporary. Congregational hymns are drawn primarily from Voices United and More Voices.  Worship is also enhanced through the intergenerational visual creations of the Art and Soul Circle.

Sydenham Street United Church in The Spire is totally accessible. Headsets are available during in-person services. Services are also live-streamed and recorded, so that they are also available from remote locations on Sunday morning or at any other time. See the Sydenham Street United Church Home page for further information and direct links to worship.  As an Affirming Congregation, we welcome everyone, regardless of ancestry, race, gender identity, sexual orientation, abilities, family or economic status, to join us for worship.
