Join a small group
If you like to garden, read, watch movies, hike, knit or crochet, or help maintain internal space, there is a small group for you. Our small groups provide various opportunities to pursue personal interests in community with others. All of them offer social engagement and personal development. The list of current small groups and contact information is available here.
Join a ministry circle. Share your gifts
Sydenham Street United Church has established three ministry teams, called circles, to support the central priorities and activities of our church. New members are welcome on each team.
The three ministry circles are:
- Engaging the Spirit focuses on Spiritual Development and Congregational Fellowship and includes Worship Planning
- Art and Soul nurtures the performing arts in our congregation and broader community
- Social Justice and Outreach supports people and programs in the community, working with people for people and a stronger community.
Join an administrative committee
Committees include overseeing the church’s human resources management, financial administration, stewardship, and communications. With our commitment to be a radically welcoming church, we have a place for everyone!
