Nurturing the Congregation

Nurturing the Congregation

The Art and Soul Ministry Circle is involved in creating and coordinating experiences that nurture the congregation through the incorporation of artistic experiences into worship and other congregational events. New members are always welcome to join this group.

Our music program is a vital part of our worship service.

Meet our choir

SSUC has a long history of excellence in Church music. The Sydenham Street Choir, a vital part of our worship service, is led by our Music Director . The choir sings an eclectic repertoire spanning five centuries of sacred music. It rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and sings for 10:30 a.m. worship services each Sunday from September through late June. New members are always welcome.

Our award-winning art/poetry/music presentation, The Easter Road, brightens the walls of our sanctuary.

For the 2012 Easter to Pentecost season an art project created a mobile of origami doves. On Easter Sunday white doves representing prayers of the congregation were attached.
